Lots of new things

Alright, I will start with the best news first. I got a job promotion! I am now the manager of the children's department at Barnes and Noble! I alsogot a raise for it too! I also move out the day before my birthday and I ampretty excited. I will be living with my awesome friends: Sandra and Kathy.

Thanksgiving was a pretty fun event this year. My dad came to visit for the first time since he moved. We ate at his friend's, Terry, house. His two sons are Cynthia's best friends. I also went to Jeremy's Thanksgiving Dinner. I am basically part of there family now. Jeremy's nefew, Jackson, was there too. He is just the cutest little boy and he can finally say my name now (although he has a hard time saying it like most children do). Me, Laura, and Carol Ann took a lot of pictures (Cynthia had already gone over to Terry's house to play).

Oh, I have also redone the pink in my hair so that is more bold and bright. I love it! My dad was not so sure about it though. I am pretty excited for Christmas. I sorta plan on just buying books for people because I have so many good recommendations. Speaking of which this is an awesome book I just finished a few days ago.

The Hunger Games
by Suzanna Collins
Summery:
America no longer exists. In its place is a new,
very contr
olling government. There is the capital and thirteen
distr
icts. Eventually the districts rebel against the capital in an
attem
pt to earn freedom. They lose and the capital wipes out
distr
ict thirteen. The Hunger Games are put in place, as a
remin
der to the people of who is in charge. From each district
a boy and girl is chose
n to be tributes to the games. They are
put in an arena
where they fight to the death--the last one to live
wins the games
.
Just give it a chance. I promise it is full of adventure and keeps you
up at night thinking about it and what might happen next. It feels
so real that you feel like you are in the games too trying to survive!
If you do end up reading it please (I beg you) tell me what you think
of it! Thanks!

"I was so obses
sed with this book I had to take it with me out to dinner and hide it under the edge of the table so I wouldn't have to stop reading. The story kept me up for several nights in a row, because even after I was finished, I just lay in bed wide awake thinking about it...The Hunger Games is amazing."

College

I am taking two college classes at Dixie State College: Basic drawing and History of Europe. Both classes are really fun to go too. Right now we are drawing corn and working with color pastels. My favorite drawing so far is a mushroom that I drew with pen. It is all dots and it took forever! I watched Star Wars movies while drawing it.

Working at Barnes and Noble is still just as fun as the opening weeks. My store is number one in the region (which means all the west! Woah!). In January I will hopefully get the job of being the Children's department lead (kind of like a manager). The book I recommend that you read if you are bored is called the City of Ember . They have just recently made a movie of it, which I have already seen twice. I highly recommend it because it is packed with adventure and good for all ages (well it might be a little scary for 8 and under)! This is the trailer, so please watch it!

Also I have dyed my hair light blonde and put more pink in! It looks way cool in my opinion. I also pierced my ears.

I am moving out into student housing in January (a birthday present to myself). My friends: Sandra, Kathy, Kenna, and Estephany are moving with me. I am really excited to live with them!
The place we are moving into has a pool and hot tube. It also includes free internet, cable, and a tanning bed (which is silly because there is enough ways to get a real tan in Saint George, but whatever). It has a club house and a laundry place as well. These are me and my friends being silly!

For Halloween Carol Ann and Cynthia bought me a pink silk Japaneses outfit. We went to a Halloween party tonight and Cynthia's pumpkin won third place. She is really proud of it. Cynthia is being Trinity from the Matrix (though without the tight clothing lol), Carol Ann is some kind of dark fairy, and Laura is a brunette Marylin Monroe. On Friday I am going to watch Cynthia in her school's Halloween parade than help her teacher with a class party.

New job and Mother's day

I started my new job at Barnes and Noble last week. I am so excited. We have been receiving trucks full of books. They also have a check out (hard cover books only) program and I have already used it and finished the book.

This mother's day wasn't the best for me or my mom because I was extremely sick and in pain. I got way to dehydrated and passed out several times. It was really scary because I forgot who I was for about two minutes. I am really bloated right now and I can't walk very well. It was probably because of stress too. My mom and Jeremy took care of me all day long. It was very nice of them.

I am so excited to be graduating on May 23! I have only been waiting for this moment since the first day of kindergarten. I actually remember at my Kindergarten graduation seeing the big numbers "2008" and thinking "What? It is only 1996. What does that mean?"

I dyed the bottom layers of my hair pink again. I really like it. Right now its a dark pink, but it will lighten up.

Ready, set, go!

Hi everyone.
About me:

I love to write, read, and anything to do with art. I really like food. Yellow is my favorite color and Chinese food is yummy. I should be in bed right now, but I'd rather not. I am almost done with school and I am so happy about it. I will not really miss high school, at least not for about ten years.

I have a mom, dad, and three younger sisters. I live with my mom and sisters. It gets pretty crazy living with all girls, but we have fun...it's always girls night out at my house.

I have awesome friends, who I love to take pictures with because there isn't much else to do, besides build fires or go to a movie. I also like to text, but I would rather talk to people in person. I love to tell people stories and make them laugh. I also love to laugh. Make me laugh and we will get along just fine.

I am really into nerdy things like Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings. I could talk about that stuff for hours. I am president of the writing club at school too. Also I am the editor for my school's literary and art magazine.

I also really love history. I know a lot about it and I love to keep learning more about it. I watch lots of documentaries. I want to travel the world and learn about other cultures, than write amazing books! I love to write poems and stories. I am working on two stories at the moment. I hate writer's block though.
